We invite abstracts of empirical papers for the 8th Annual Africa Conference on Social Entrepreneurship #AACOSE8, scheduled to take place from 14th to 16th May 2025. This year’s theme, “Social Economy: Building a Sustainable and Inclusive Future for Africa” seeks to explore innovative solutions to advance Africa’s socio-economic and political development.
The Annual Africa Conference on Social Entrepreneurship (AACOSE) is an initiative of the Institute for Social Transformation, Tangaza University that started in 2017 to gather major actors of social entrepreneurship to collaborate to create an enabling environment for the growth of social entrepreneurship in Africa. The 8th Edition of AACOSE is scheduled to take place on the 14th to 16th May, 2025 and it explores the role of social economy in advancing socio-economic and political development in Africa. It delves into the question on how the social economy can offer solutions to Africa’s development agenda and the extent to which it can spur a sustainable future for Africa. To this end, AACOSE Academia – an academic forum for the conference – invites abstracts for papers from academics and practitioners and the call seeks empirical papers that cover the following sub-themes:
